New Study with IT professionals shows lack of
appropriate AV technology for virtual meetings

Time: 10:30 AM - 11:00 AM

Date: Tuesday, Feb 11th

A recent survey of 401 business IT professionals and users representing more than 8,000 conference rooms, provided some surprising numbers about the future of conferencing. One of the most eye-opening findings was that only 21 percent of boardrooms are set up with the appropriate AV technology to conduct virtual meetings. And only 36 percent of conference rooms overall have the right technology to support them. The findings paint a picture of the importance of technology in providing effective virtual meetings. This seminar will talk through some of the numbers as well as provide guidance on how to improve conference room experiences. We will share some tips to optimize meeting rooms and provide guidance on the areas to invest in to make the most impact to your users.

What is high-quality DSP and
why you shouldn’t have a
video conference without it

Time: 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM

Date: Tuesday, Feb 11th

Digital Signal Processing is essential for achieving the highest quality audio experience during a video conference. However, when several mics are used in the same room results can vary. In these situations, high-quality DSP is more important than ever and requires the appropriate conferencing microphones with complementary processing to guarantee a great user experience and consistent audio quality, whether in a large boardroom, smaller huddle space or breakout area

Visitors to this session will learn the science behind voice quality optimization with DSP through noise reduction, AEC, Automixing and AGC, in addition to practical hints and tips on how to optimize your networked audio system and save commissioning time on site.

Find out how Voice Lift systems
take communication to the next level

Time: 11:30 AM - 12:00 PM

Date: Wednesday, Feb 12th

A voice lift system amplifies the voices of people in one part of the room just enough so that people in other parts of the room can hear them clearly. Unlike a conventional sound reinforcement system, voice lift bolsters only those frequency ranges that are most critical for intelligibility, and only enough to restore the loss caused by the distance between the farthest talker and listener in the room. The effect is so subtle that many users don’t even realize there is a sound system until it is turned off. However, the implementation of voice lift in an AV conference system or meeting room environment can be complex.

to the IT customer

Time: 11:30 AM - 12:00 PM

Date: Thursday, Feb 13th

As networked audio technology has been adopted in the modern workplace to enable effortless collaboration and communication, there has been increasing demand for AV and IT to speak the same language. These two departments are required to work closely to plan and implement secure deployments that address IT workflows and requirements. Customers have come to expect seamless, simple and integrated solutions that can be standardized worldwide. As quickly as networked technologies advance, integrators and manufacturers also need to stay ahead in meeting customers’ service support expectations.

Visitors to this session will learn tactics to help bridge the gap between AV and IT and help address technical questions the IT professional might have. This seminar is an open discussion of strategies
